What goes on inside the box?
The input 625 line video is converted to 8 bit digital codes, selected lines are written to a
frame store memory which is then read out to give the 405 line video,
Processing of the stored lines gives the interpolation needed to give a 405 line picture
without stepped edges.
Two PIC
Microcontrollers (PIC16F627) one on the 625 input side, one for the 405 output side
manage all the control and timing operations.
The input write clock is a PLL with the read clock derived from a crystal.
